“Filthy” Tom Lawlor has defeated Low-Ki to become the new Major League Wrestling world champion. Lawlor won the title at MLW Superfight, which took place in Philadelphia on Saturday, February 2.
The match was highly intense and hard fought from start to finish. The end came when Lawlor trapped Low-Ki in a Rear Naked Choke. The former champ tried to break free of the hold but he wasn’t able to do it. The referee stopped the match and awarded the title to Lawlor.
Low-Ki’s championship reign was the third longest in the title’s history, ending at 206 days. Lawlor is the seventh man to hold the title and has only been a pro wrestler since 2014. He’s a former UFC fighter, with an MMA record of 10-7-1.
