Odell Beckham Jr. is not expected to practice Thursday, instead going outside the Giants facility for “further evaluation” on his bruised quad, coach Pat Shurmur said.
The wide receiver missed last week’s game against the Redskins, and his status for Sunday’s meeting with the Titans appears to be in doubt.
“I don’t expect him to be out there [at practice today],” Shurmur said. “He’s getting further evaluation today and we’ll find out.”
Beckham was limited in Wednesday’s practice, taking part in stretching and some individual drills before going off to the side and getting more treatment inside. He had been a full participant all of last week until Friday, when the injury was revealed and Beckham was limited before being declared out for the game.
Asked if the further evaluation meant Beckham had a setback, Shurmur said no.
“We’re just getting it checked out,” Shurmur said. “It doesn’t mean anything.”
