— Jonathan Coachman may not be leaving WWE after all, or at least not yet. Jim Ross posted a new blog on his website today and he’s saying that Jonathan Coachman has not signed with ESPN, contrary to several online reports. Ross wrote: “Jonathan Coachman has not signed a contract with ESPN contrary to what may have been reported elsewhere. As I write this, Coach is still employed by the WWE and is still doing projects for the MSG Network. Will Coach eventually migrate to ESPN? Who knows, he would be a great fit there, but as of today he has not made any commitment to do so.”
— WWE developmental wrestlers Ted DiBiase, Jr. and Nic “The Natural” Nemeth are on the road with WWE again this week. The two worked house shows over the weekend; Nemeth for Raw and DiBiase for SmackDown/ECW.
— Former WWE star Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is in a new television commercial for Sierra Mist. It aired during Saturday Night Live over the weekend. The commercial was promoting his upcoming movie Get Smart (scheduled to be released on June 20, 2008), and he’s walking down the hallway with two women all over him. The commercial ends on a funny note when Rock walks into a wall while it’s revealed that the two women are really men agents undercover.
— A number of wrestlers missed the 5/2 show in Montreal at the Bell Centre due to travel issues. Among those not wrestling who were scheduled to appear were Beth Phoenix, Santino Marella, Paul Burchill, JTG and Mr. Kennedy. Most of the show had to be changed due to the travel issues. All of the wrestlers were able to make into Canada for the next night’s show though.
