The following are spoiler results of this week’s edition of WWE SmackDown, which emanated from Knoxville, Tennessee and airs this Friday night on the SyFy Network.
– The show opened with Michael Cole interviewing Triple H. Team Cena, without John Cena himself, stood on the stage while a Cena promo was shown on the big screen in the arena.
– Rusev def. Dolph Ziggler in singles action, which was the first match taped for SmackDown. No word from our correspondent as to whether or not this match was for Rusev’s WWE United States Championship, although it doesn’t really matter because Rusev ended up winning.
– Los Matadores def. The Miz & Damien Mizdow in tag-team action. This was said to be mostly a comedy match, as one would expect, with Mizdow getting a great reception from the Knoxville fans while doing his normal stunt-double stuff.
– AJ Lee def. Brie Bella in Divas action. In a move that was the opposite of Monday’s RAW, AJ Lee dressed up like Brie and was referred to as “AJ Bella.” In the end, the WWE Divas Champion picked up the win.
– The Dean Ambrose Survival Kit took place. Not a lot of details as to how this actually went down, although it was said that Ambrose noted that the “survival kit” was actually himself.
– Erick Rowan def. Cesaro in singles action. The finish saw Rowan pick up the “W” after locking Cesaro in the Torture Rack. After the match, Luke Harper came down to the ring and had a stare down with Rowan.
– Ryback & Big Show vs. Seth Rollins & Kane ended in a disqualification when Team Authority interfered. Team Authority beat up Team Cena, which saw Triple H bring out a chair and beat up all of the members of Team Cena with it. He hit Ryback with The Pedigree to end the SmackDown taping.
