WWE Champion Daniel Bryan is calling himself “The Planet’s Champion,” and he has been on a mission to improve and change the world ever since he won the title late last year. One of the biggest changes that the “New” Daniel Bryan has been promising for a while now had to do with replacing the leather strap of the WWE Championship with an eco-friendly alternative. It was easy to think that the company would not go through with this idea, but it appears that WWE has indeed decided to provide Bryan with a new championship. During last night’s episode of SmackDown, Daniel Bryan and Rowan came down to the ring for a promo and unveiled the brand new WWE Championship belt made out of hemp.

After speaking to the fans during a promo segment on SmackDown yesterday, Daniel Bryan debuted a new version of the WWE Championship, which he says is made out of “100% organic hemp.” Of course, he was soon interrupted by AJ Styles, Mustafa Ali, Samoa Joe, Jeff Hardy, and Randy Orton. Triple H then booked all six men in an Elimination Chamber match for Bryan’s title at the upcoming pay-per-view of the same name. Bryan’s new title will be on the line, so it is likely that the traditional version of the strap will return if he is unable to retain the championship during the Chamber match. For those interested in seeing more of Bryan’s championship, WWE uploaded a video of Bryan posing with the title, which can be seen down below:

During this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw, it was determined that Nia Jax & Tamina will enter the match to determine the new Women’s Tag Team Champions during the Elimination Chamber event. Liv Morgan & Sarah Logan have since been declared for the match, and another team earned their spots in the match during SmackDown yesterday. The team of Mandy Rose & Sonya Deville have officially entered the bout for the new championships. Unlike the competitors from Raw this week, Rose and Deville did not have to partake in a qualifying match for get the spots. Two more teams from SmackDown will enter the match in the future while one more team from the Raw brand still has yet to be revealed.
