Cruiserweight title match added to WWE Survivor Series card

WWE has added a Cruiserweight Championship match to the card for Survivor Series.

On this week’s episode of 205 Live, it was announced that Cruiserweight Champion Buddy Murphy will defend his title against Mustafa Ali at Survivor Series. The pay-per-view is taking place at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California on November 18.

Ali defeated Tony Nese in a number one contender’s match on the October 31 edition of 205 Live to set up him getting the title shot. A taped promo with Ali aired on this week’s show, and Murphy defeated Mark Andrews in a non-title match.

After Ali won his match against Nese, there was an angle where WWE teased Cedric Alexander having Ali in position for a Lumbar Check as he was making the save for Ali and helping him up — but Alexander congratulated Ali instead of attacking him.

Murphy won the title from Alexander at Super Show-Down in Melbourne, Australia last month.
