Argentinian league has a new leader: UPCN

The San Juan`s volleyball team won with effort against Pescadores (3:2) and he got the first place after official calendar closed.

Although UPCN lost an important player as Gustavo Porporatto, the team kept winning their matches and they made and undefeated campaign until the 2010 schedule finish. With 9 victories (26 points) they became one of the best teams in the league, with Buenos Aires United who has only one point less than UPCN.

Drean Bolívar (19) are still playing in the FIVB`s World Club Championship in Doha, but the results help them to keep the third place with two match to play when the League restarts.

Villa María Voley (18) is the Cinderella of the tournament at second consecutive season. With young and talented players, the coach Cichello had leaded the team to won 6 of the 9 matches, and step over Boca Juniors (the ACLAV Cup champion) by four points in the ranking.

Sarmiento didn´t take advantage with the middleblocker Spajic yet, and has only 11 points with a 3-6 record. In the permanence fight they are five squads: Gigantes del Sur and Pellegrini (9 points), Chubut (5), Pescadores (4) and Puerto San Martín Voley (3).
