WWE SmackDown video highlights: John Cena and Goldberg appear

Two of SmackDown’s top matches for WrestleMania 36 were made official last night.

John Cena and Goldberg both appeared on the post-Super ShowDown episode of SmackDown to set up their matches for WrestleMania. Cena will face “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt, while Goldberg will defend the Universal Championship against Roman Reigns.

Cena closed last night’s show with a promo where he teased that he wasn’t going to be part of WrestleMania this year. He said he’s betting on the future and WrestleMania spots should be earned and not demanded.

Cena also said he wanted to make that announcement in Boston in front of his loved ones — because he doesn’t know when the next time he’ll be back in WWE is.

When Cena got to the stage and was saluting the crowd, the lights went out. The Fiend then appeared and pointed at the WrestleMania sign. Cena tipped his hat to accept Wyatt’s challenge as the show went off the air.

One day after winning the Universal Championship from Wyatt in Saudi Arabia, Goldberg kicked off last night’s SmackDown. He was confronted by Roman Reigns, who had a staredown with Goldberg and told him “I’m next.”
