The 2018 tennis season will be remembered also for switching from to starting at Wimbledon. In an interview to Bilanz, the marketing expert Cary Steinmann commented on the topic, taking positives from the co-operation between the Japanese brand and the Swiss tennis player who will be $300 million worth to Federer for the next ten years.
If Nike does not want what Federer wants anymore, its only good if he changes, said Steinmann. Federer is the most stylish tennis player ever. His game is not only about the blood, sweat and tears, but esthetics.
Thats why a fashion company suits well to him. Nike still owns the RF logo rights, and Federer may take it again next year. Anyway, Steinmann sees no problems in it. If Federer cannot take the logo back, he should simply create one new.
The designers of all over the world will go with it. Stephan Lichsteiner never headed his admiration for Federer. Earlier this year the Swiss football star confessed he was nervous during the Australian Open final between the 20-time Major winner and Marin Cilic as he was training at the FC Juventus training centre at that moment.
Speaking to Bild, Lichsteiner praised Federer once again: From a player like Roger Federer, we as footballers can only take positives. Even if he has much more talent than the big majority of his opponents, he often found a way to win even on the less beautiful days.
