Nevada Voters Elect Dead Brothel Owner Dennis Hof To Assembly
LAS VEGAS, NV — Dennis Hof, the Nevada brothel owner, reality TV star, self-described pimp and outspoken supporter of President Donald Trump, died last month. But that didn’t dissuade voters in the state’s solidly Republican 36th Assembly District from casting their ballots Tuesday for him.
The late Republican defeated Democrat Lesia Romanov by a large margin — more than 7,000 votes. Now, county officials must appoint a Republican to represent the district, which includes rural neighborhoods and a large swath of desert in the southern part of the state, The Associated Press reported.
TMZ reported that voters were notified that the Republican candidate had died via a sign posted at polling locations. It noted that the name of the deceased candidate is on the ballot and “must remain on the ballot.”

Hof reportedly celebrated his 72nd birthday by partying for four days with prominant figures in the sex industry and political world. Adult film actor Ron Jeremy and a prostitute found him dead Oct. 16 at his Love Ranch brothel.
While his exact cause of death remains a mystery, foul play is not suspected.
Hof, a Trump-style candidate who starred on the HBO show “Cathouse,” managed to defeat a sitting Republican member of the State Assembly in the GOP primary. He owned a handful of brothels in the state and even penned a book: “The Art of the Pimp,” akin to Trump’s own “The Art of the Deal.”
All 42 Assembly seats were up for election this year. State assembly members serve two-year terms.
