Tennis Australia defends Dunlop balls against Bernard Tomic accusations

Tennis Australia has come to the defense of the new match balls for the Australian Open as they insist that Dunlop is a great brand. Australian tennis player Tomic didnt back down while describing how he feels about the balls used which will be used at the Australian Open this year.

The Australian Open made a switch from Wilson to Dunlop. Tomic, a former world No. 17, played with the Dunlop ball for the first time at the Priceline Pharmacy Kooyong Classic on Tuesday. Despite his displeasure with the balls, the Australian managed to come from a set down and beat American Jack Sock.

I dont know what the Australian Open has done, but it is terrible, Tomic said post-match. I dont know too much [about the balls], but I dont feel like it is that good of a ball.

I think theyre pretty cheap from what Ive heard. It didnt take long for Australian Open Tournament Director Craig Tiley to react to the accusations made by Tomic. These are great balls.
