Stan Wawrinka surprised about Rafael Nadal's words

In press conference at the Australian Open following his loss to Milos Raonic in the second round on Thursday, commented on saying that no one came to him to explain the situation involving several players pushing for Chris Kermode to leave the ATP Presidency as he backed Justin Gimelstob, who is alleged of abuse, to stay on the Board.

Wawrinka, who is supporting Kermode, said: For sure I was surprised that Rafa didnt know about it. That show the situation, how difficult it is right now. But, again, as I say now, theres a lot of things that came out in the press.

Now everybodys talking about it. The players are meeting here. I think its going to go in the right direction, at least for all the player to talk and to have some ideas. I think the next big meeting is going to be around Indian Wells anyway.

Thats where it all going to happen. At the end of the day, thats why there is a board and a council. Its for them to decide whats happening. About Justin, as long as, like all the other players said, hes not guilty, so as long as he doesnt get to the courts yet, its tough to say something.

Wawrinka also commented on the influence that Novak Djokovic can have: I think hes also the president of the council. Hes the No. 1 player. Hes the best player into this council. So for sure, if you look, hes at the head of the spot there.

But again, I think theres for sure a lot of talk going on. Im pretty sure nothing happens here, so thats mean there is also some stuff that is putting on the stand, and thats everybody can think about it.

We will see. I think we can only see whats going to happen in the next few months. ALSO READ: Rafael Nadal: Worse players than David Ferrer won a Grand Slam title
