Girls Dare To Drink Alcohol In ‘Dry’ Gujarat, Land In Jail After Police Raid

A group of women decided to have booze party at a hotel in Surat, Gujarat, a dry state and it ended in their arrest. Police raided the kitty party at an upscale hotel in Piplod after receiving a tip that revellers in the party, all women, were consuming alcohol which is prohibited in the state.

Police arrested 21 women and seized four bottles of Indian made foreign liquor (IMFL).

An official told The Times of India, “Those arrested hosted frequent kitty parties at the same hotel. They gathered at the hotel on Friday around 4 pm. The party was supposed to end by 6 pm, however, a few of the attendees decided to stay back in the hotel’s disco hall.”
