WATCH: Movers and Makers – Rodrygo, Callejon, Sterling & Messi out to shine in UEFA Champions League

These four have made waves in the UCL this season – who will shine on Europe’s grand stage on MD5?

The penultimate round of UEFA Champions League group stage fixtures is upon us, with the fate of many of Europe’s heavyweights still hanging in the balance.

Many teams will look to their experienced heads to secure their passage through to the knockout stage, but Real Madrid’s latest talisman has only made one UCL appearance in his burgeoning career.

Rodrygo, Madrid’s 18-year-old wonderkid, hit headlines when he netted a hat-trick on his UCL debut against Galatasaray a few weeks ago; in doing so he became the competition leader for one-two shots, with 3 – will he increase that tally against Paris Saint-Germain?

Another attacker who will be looking to make the difference for his side is Jose Callejon, who leads the UCL for chances created (15). Napoli are set to travel to Liverpool; can Callejon maintain his creative output at Anfield?

Elsewhere, Manchester City forward Raheem Sterling will be out to ensure Pep Guardiola’s side secure all three points against Shakhtar Donetsk, who will be wary of the attacking threat he possesses. Sterling is averaging a goal involvement every 43 minutes in the UCL this season; you wouldn’t bet against him improving on that tomorrow night.

Finally, Barcelona talisman Lionel Messi has wreaked havoc against opposition defences this season, completing 28 dribbles in total – more than any other player in the UCL this season. The Argentine maestro will hope to work his magic when Borussia Dortmund head to Camp Nou on Wednesday night.
