Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears Say They’d Be Down to Collaborate—and Make Our ’90’s Dreams Come True

Nineties nostalgia is having a major moment in the entertainment world. First Fuller House landed at Netflix, then the Spice Girls announced a mini-reunion—and even Beauty and the Beast is getting the live-action remake treatment. But there’s one ’90’s comeback event we dared not even dream could be possible: a Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears musical collaboration.

During an appearance on the interactive fan Q&A, Most Requested Live with Romeo, Spears was asked who her dream musical collaborator would be. Her answer? “Justin Timberlake is very good,” she said, naming her ex-boyfriend as a potential musical partner.

During an interview with E! News, when the show’s host told Timberlake that Spears named him as a dream collaborator, and asked if he would ever work with her in the future, he responded, “She did? Sure! Absolutely, absolutely.” We can hear the jaws hitting the floor everywhere. “I have a 17 month old so I don’t get the headline news,” he added. “I apologize for not being in the know … I’m accessible, give us a call!”
