Nick Kyrgios has the potential to beat anybody, says Jim Courier

In an interview to Sydney Morning Herald the former world No. 1 commented on Australian Open chances. The American feels that a bigger consistency would be the key for Kyrgios.

He has the potential to beat anybody on a given day, said Courier. And the key to doing that everyday is working at it. And I sincerely hope he wakes up and says, You know what? Im going to give it a go.

And see how good he can be. Itll be sad for fans if we cant see that. Because hes electric. When its on, its on. Courier will be part of the Nine 9 commentary, and he feels proud about it: Its a thrill to be at the big tournaments for me.

Thats what really gets me excited from a commentary standpoint, from a fan standpoint, just watching the best players in the world chase history. So to get a chance to be a part of Nines team as we embark on this new journey together, building something special together, at a really special event for me personally.

Courier shares two little sons with his wife Susanna Lingman, but, like most of the tennis players, he hopes they will not want to become professional tennis players: I would probably be the one telling the other parents to shut the f— up (laughter).

Theres nothing you can do about it, so just sit down and shut up. ALSO READ: Rafael Nadal: Worse players than David Ferrer won a Grand Slam title
