This summer, renowned shoemaker Christian Louboutin’s red soles are set to take over Mayfair’s Mount Street as the ultimate designer destination. Louboutin will launch his European flagship store this month.
A new Louboutin boutique was born with the help of New York based architect Eric Clough. The new store will be split into three individual rooms where clients can select from Christian Louboutin’s Spring Summer 2008 collection. The new flagship store closely follows the launch of the Harvey Nichols boutique and a decade after Motcomb Street store.
The luxurious handbag collection will be displayed in brightly coloured tin frames throughout the store. The shoes will remain in their infamous mirrored alcoves synonymous with Christian Louboutin’s original boutique on rue Jean-Jacques Rousseau in Paris. The Mayfair store will also feature a library, hidden room in the heart of the boutique barely noticeable through mirrored and Perspex alcoves.
The designer is very much looking forward to open his Mayfair address and said: ‘In such a pretty street, I want to have my prettiest shoes’.
