But who’s to blame for the mishap? “The artist’s impression used on the hoarding of the newly opened Slade Café in Plumstead was supplied to the council in good faith by the architecture practice who designed it,” the Greenwich council spokesman told the Evening Standard. However, the architecture firm claims that “they did not know the image was used because the CGI was created by someone who has now left the firm.”
That said, the Royal Borough of Greenwich is trying to make it up to Holmes and Suri with some gratis grub. “[We] would be delighted to invite Katie and her daughter to the Slade Café for a free coffee to say sorry.”
Surprisingly enough, this isn’t the first time that Katie’s image has been used in promotional ads. Last year, the exact same photo with Suri was featured in an advertisement to promote apartment buildings in Croydon.
One thing’s certainly for sure: Katie and Suri make for excellent campaign models.
