Forbes reports that most of Jenner’s income can be traced to her lucrative campaigns with Estee Lauder, Adidas, and Calvin Klein. Kloss is also an Adidas model, and her $13 million marks the most money she’s ever made in a year. Most of that, Forbes says, is thanks to her social media presence, which she’s parlayed into a full-fledged brand. If Jenner follows in her footsteps, there’s no telling what she could pull in.

One of the most surprising finds? Social media savants the Hadid sisters ranked at no. 7 and no. 8. Perhaps they should take a page from the Jenner playbook?
“Your social media page is your magazine of your life, so how you represent yourself matters,” Ivan Bart, president at IMG Models, told Forbes. “If you’re going to crossover you have to have a vision for it.”

Other models on the list included Chrissy Teigen and Rosie Huntington-Whitely at no. 3, tied with $11.5 million each. And since success is inevitably tied into crossover appeal, many of the models on the list are hoping to make it big in Hollywood or venture into other entrepreneurial pursuits. No. 5, Cara Delevingne, is headed for her very own Amazon series. Perennial favorite Giselle Bundchen tied with Delevingne at $10 million.
As for the models who fell off the list, retirement may have something to do with their ranking. Adriana Lima, who hung up her wings this year, didn’t hit the $8 million mark. Other catwalk regulars like Ashley Graham and Liu Wen also didn’t make the cut.
