A 37-year-old woman was reportedly killed by her live-in boyfriend, who then placed her body in the bed storage compartment at their rented house near Mumbai, based on statements made by the police today.
Then, Hardik Shah tried to flee the Palghar area of Maharashtra, but the railway police caught him.
Megha, who worked as a nurse, was the one who often took care of the household costs while Hardik was unemployed. According to a statement from the police, this led to them fighting with each other constantly, eventually leading to the murder.

After murdering Megha, Hardik used his money to sell some household belongings to get away.
The local police and the railway police in Nagda, Madhya Pradesh, were able to track him down after receiving information that he was attempting to escape by train.
“We have registered a case of murder and have begun scanning through the CCTVs of the area and Shah’s mobile phone location. We have found out that he had boarded a train to Rajasthan from Mumbai Central railway station on Monday morning,” said Shailendra Nagarkar, senior police inspector of Tulinj police station.
According to the police, a team from the criminal investigation division is now on its way to take custody of the accused.
“Our officers are in the process of getting custody of Shah and bringing him to Mumbai,” he added.
Hardik and Megha, who had been in a relationship for three years and had been living together for six months, broke up earlier this year.
They moved into the rental property over a month ago. In addition, the cops heard complaints from their neighbors about the constant arguments between them.
A similar case has emerged from Delhi. Delhi Police is investigating the killing of 25-year-old Haryana woman Nikki Yadav, who was allegedly strangled by her boyfriend with a charging cable, on the lines of the Shraddha Walkar murder case, said sources on Wednesday.
