“Well. How bout it,” Pascrell wrote.
The congressman attached the Onion piece titled, “82-Year-Old New Jersey Congressman Bill Pascrell Quietly Asks Ilhan Omar If He Can Be Part Of The Squad.”
He then tagged all members of the “squad” — Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Ilhan Omar, Rashida Tlaib and Ayanna Pressley.
Ocasio-Cortez quickly made the decision for the group, giving the elder male her approval in a tweet.
“You’re in, @BillPascrell!” Ocasio-Cortez wrote, with several emojis including a smiley face and heart.
The “squad” has been feuding with President Trump after he tweeted the four lawmakers should “go back and help fix the totally broken and crime infested places from which they came.”
