Creep pleads guilty to sexually assaulting 12-year-old he met on Tinder

A 22-year-old California creep admitted to having sex with a 12-year-old girl he met on Tinder — and was sentenced to roughly a year in prison.

Sean Michael Rickard, of Anaheim, pleaded guilty to unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor Wednesday and was hit with 16 months behind bars, according to NBC News.

Rickard first began talking to the girl through the hook-up app about eight months before his arrest in February, police told the station.

He insisted that she first told him she was 19 years old. But before they met in person, she confessed that she was actually only 12 — “and [he said] he didn’t care,” Santa Ana Police Cpl. Anthony Bertagna said, according to NBC.

On Feb. 27, Rickard drove the girl to a parking lot in Santa Ana where they had sex, according to the station.

But he was arrested the same day after a charter school student saw the girl get into his car and snapped a photo that she later showed her mom, Bertagna said.

“She told her mom she thought it was weird, so the mom did the right thing and contacted the school and the school did the right thing and contacted us,” Bertagna said in February.

As part of Rickard’s plea deal, prosecutors tossed out several other charges, including engaging in lewd acts with a minor and distributing pornography to a minor.
