John McEnroe becoming Nick Kyrgios's coach would be great – Woobdrige
The former doubles no. 1 thinks that becoming coach would be great for the Australian player, who has been struggling mentally and physically for a while.
He absolutely loves him, Woodbridge said on McEnroes feelings towards Kyrgios. McEnroe has that extra in into nicks head that a lot of us dont. He is fond of him. He loves the talent he has and I think he would love to see him use it all and go deep in tournaments.
Theyre two people that in a strange way that really understand each other. Kyrgios has enjoyed some great moments with McEnroe at the Laver Cup in the last two years. My goal this year is just to, on a day to day basis, just be happier and enjoy what Im doing.
And just try to get to a space where I can go out there and just enjoy myself and compete. I hope it leads me into getting to a happier place than where I was last year. Obviously, with the tennis side of things Im getting help with but it was more just the general life.
The simpler things, like getting up and being happy, and I think where I am at the moment is night and day to where I was four months ago when I was really struggling on the tour, Kyrgios had recently said. The Australian lost in the first round of the 2019 Australian Open to Milos Raonic on Tuesday.
