More Details on WWE MMC, If the Show Will Have Commercials, Tons of WWE Stars Offer MMC Partner Picks (Videos)
As noted, WWE has announced a new Mixed Match Challenge series, debuting on January 16th via Facebook Watch.
The show will feature top stars from both Raw and Smackdown teaming up for a mixed tag team tournament. Stars set for the series include Becky Lynch, Braun Strowman, Shinsuke Nakamura, Sami Zayn, Sasha Banks, Bayley and more. The tag team partner combinations will be revealed on January 4th.
We also noted that Variety.com has provided more details on the show, reporting that Facebook has secured exclusive rights to the series, which will feature 12 episodes in the first season. Additionally, the report noted the Mixed Match Challenge will air free of commercials and advertisements since it will be featured on Facebook.
Additionally, after a certain grace period, WWE will have the option of distributing the show via the WWE Network’s VOD.
Finally, WWE MMC will tape on the same nights as Smackdown and 205 Live, and will reportedly “will have its own ‘look and feel’…incorporating tighter shots of the action, “bolder, brighter graphics” and 360-degree video.”
