The Jets saw a different Leonard Williams today. First the good, then the bad.
The talented defensive end, having an underwhelming season, came out hot against the Packers on Sunday, registering a sack and a pair of hits on Aaron Rodgers. And then that fire took a turn.
The 2015 first-round pick was ejected late in the second quarter for throwing a punch, also registering an unnecessary roughness penalty on the play. Williams and Green Bay tackle Bryan Bulaga got tangled after a failed pass-rush, and Williams appeared to throw him to the ground before taking a swing at him.
It was an out-of-character moment for Williams, who has one year remaining on his rookie contract as the Jets debate a long-term deal.
