CONCORD, NH — Despite early morning rain and chilly temperatures, thousands of people from Concord and the capital region were on the Heights Saturday to enjoy the Concord Christmas Parade.
The 73rd annual event, sponsored by the Concord Grange, the Eagles, and other community interests, featured police, firefighters, floats, dancers, decorated Jeeps, and Santa Claus.

Brian Blackden, the organizer of the event, said money from last year’s event, which was canceled due to weather, was rolled into this year’s funding. The event is solely sponsored by private businesses, orgs, and residents, and not the city.
